South African Granted Refugee Access To Canada

Racism in the finest!  Is it possible?  We all have witnessed some type of racism.  Now in our World, we sometimes wonder why, or do we?  Recently, the tables have been turned in one side of the world.  In North America, racism has occurred from all angles but mostly whites against blacks.  Laws and bills have been passed to support an end to segregation and racial hate crimes.  Times have changed, yet in one side of the world a racial war could occur!  In Canada, a young Capetownia expresses his interest in changing his status.  He explains that in his country the American Americans are racial towards him, a white South African.

Brandon Huntley, a South African native leaves his home because of racial prejudice.  He states that due to the Unemployment Act of 1998, as a white male in South African he has no chance of a job.  He pleads to the Canadian Government that he will be prosecuted and possibly killed if he returns to his country.  The South African government denies such allegations of course, yet they still want to review Mr. Huntley's refugee status.

Should he be allowed to stay in Canada?  Or should he be expedited back to South Africa?  Many people are asking themselves this question right now!  Do we know the answer?  Should he be treated with any respect?  According to Canadian immigration policies, yes he does have a right to protection.  In order to claim refugee status, you must fear being persecuted when returning home.  You may apply for a refugee status once you are in Canada.  It is one of the safe countries.  However, there are many rules that may prevent someone from claiming refugee status.  One being that you were ordered to leave your county.  Two, you are under convection and awaiting punishment that you are fearing persecution.  But for most legitimate persons, claims for refugee status in Canada are granted if the person fears returning home due to persecution. Three, you are crossing into Canada from another "safe country" like United States.  There are exceptions to the rules, however, you must prove that a relative lives in the Country you are apply to in order to gain refugee status through another "safe country!"  Otherwise, no status will be granted.  But if you are granted refugee status, you are protected against persecution in your country.

So Brandon Huntley, according to Canadian Immigration policies, has a right to stay in Canada with refugee status!  He deserves protection.  Yet South Africa is demanding a review on his refugee status and if he returns, he will be persecuted.  He will more than likely have to return to South Africa.  He will then be tried in front of their courts.

Racism ... immigration and refugee status ... leading to racial war?   Does history repeat itself?  According to new research and findings, yes!  If we have a racial war in South Africa, we will repeat what happened in the USA during the American Revolution and the Abolishment of Slavery.  We will see ugly in that nature again.  History repeats itself.  It has been proven.  There are immigration issues in every country now.  People are starving and thriving for opportunity.  They want to go to a country that they are safe in and that is why they have refugee status in Safe Countries.

Brandon Huntley should be able to stay in Canada, but only time will tell if South African makes him return to the country and face persecution.
